We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on person to help keep 100 River Street in good shape — the old Fellows Gear Shaper building downtown, with offices, shops, and event space under one roof.

What you’d do

• General handyman work — small repairs, patching, hanging, fixing what breaks

• Painting
\n
• Cleaning and mopping common areas
\n
• Landscaping and grounds — mowing, trimming, leaves, general clean-up
\n
• Snow removal and salting through the winter
\n
• Trash and recycling
\n
• Lock up, walk the building, keep an eye on things

What we’re after

• Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
\n
• Must pass a background check
\n
• Dependable — you show up when you say you will
\n
• Basic tool skills (no license or trade certification needed)
\n
• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb a ladder, and be on your feet
\n
• Reliable phone and able to respond to occasional after-hours calls
\n
• Local to the Springfield area

Part-Time Cleaner

We’re looking for a part-time cleaner to keep the building and its common areas in good order, including clean-up before and after events in the Great Hall.

• Trash and recycling

• Event clean-up in the Great Hall, before and after — some evenings and weekends
