Environmental Cleanup

Public Comment Period — September 2 to October 2, 2026

A 30-day public comment period on the Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) and the Partial Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Amendment for 100 River Street runs from September 2, 2026 through October 2, 2026. A public notice announcing the comment period is being published in the Vermont Journal, and a public meeting will be held at the Springfield Selectboard meeting on September 14, 2026. Community Vision

A Hub for Connection

100 River Street is designed to be more than commercial space. The development includes a Great Hall for community events, riverfront green space along the Black River, and a planned restaurant and event venue that will give Springfield the gathering place it's been missing.

The campus is home to Springfield on the Move, the local organization driving economic development. This partnership runs deep — 100 River Street has donated office space to help them advance their mission.

A large open event space at 6,592 SF, suitable for community gatherings, markets, exhibitions, and private events.

Riverfront Green Space

Converting existing outdoor areas into open green space along the Black River. Walking paths, outdoor seating, and riverfront dining.

Restaurant & Event Venue

Springfield's future full-service restaurant with indoor and outdoor riverfront dining. Available for private events, weddings, and celebrations.
